In the year 1911, Albert Wanner founded Brewa Chemische Fabrik AG in Basel, Switzerland. The company started to produce and supply cleaning products. Brewa was essential in contributing to the undeniable image of Switzerland's cleanliness. In the sixties Benjamin Wanner, Alberts son, abruptly had to leave boarding school Zuoz, in the snow caped mountains at the age of 16, to overtake the company. He was on the way to become a well-known gentleman of refined taste. His cars, stories and generous dinner parties were legendary. And often marveled. His bon homie and patronage was well perceived by the Swiss industry and the company grew to a leader in industrial and household cleaning product's. In the 1982 his beloved wife Adelheid Wanner-Maag, was suddenly forced to helm the company. "La grande dame of Basel" sold the Wanner estate in 2020 to bulid the Benjamin Wanner Park in Basel. Now, Shumit Chanda Wanner the grandson of "Beni" and a entrepreneur by heart, created the Benjamin Wanner Company to bring the legacy of the Wanner Lebensart in the form of culinary discoveries, objets d'art, functional furniture and the Benjamin Wanner spirits to the world.
